Professional boxers often face unique challenges outside of actual matches, such as maintaining strict training and diet regimens, managing injuries, and handling the psychological pressure of competition. Job description

Club Overview

TITLE Boxing Club Winter Park delivers premium, explosive boxing and kickboxing group workouts in a modern, dynamic boutique setting. We are dedicated to connecting with our Central Florida community, driving life-changing results for our members, and maintaining an elite, motivating training environment rooted in Professionalism, Energy, Timeliness, and Care.

Position Summary

As a Fitness Trainer, you will lead high-energy group boxing/kickboxing classes, conduct customized 1-on-1 personal training sessions, and actively drive club growth through membership and personal training sales. You are the "spark" of the club—responsible for delivering safe, physically challenging, and exhilarating workouts that leave members feeling cared for and looking forward to their next session.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Class Leadership & Format Execution: Plan and deliver high-energy, 45-to-60-minute group boxing and kickboxing classes utilizing the club's signature format: a 15-minute intense warmup, 8 rounds of boxing/kickboxing on the heavy bags, and a 7-minute core/ab finish.

  • Member Care & Technical Modifications: Demonstrate proper techniques for punches, kicks, footwork, and defensive moves to ensure safety and effectiveness. Proactively provide regressions, progressions, or alternative exercises for members with physical limitations or past injuries.

  • Revenue Generation (PT & Membership Sales): Proactively convert group class attendees into dedicated personal training clients. Partner with the club staff to actively pitch, present, and close club memberships to prospective guests and first-time visitors.

  • Timeliness & Professionalism: Arrive early for all scheduled shifts, fully prepared to wrap hands for members and guests before class starts. Maintain elite personal hygiene, wear approved club attire, and uphold the highest standard of professional ethics.

  • Operational Excellence & Equipment Care: Ensure a welcoming, friendly, and pristine class atmosphere. Ensure all fitness equipment (dumbbells, medicine balls, bands) used during class or personal training is cleaned, sanitized, and returned to its proper storage rack immediately following the session.

  • Brand & Social Representation: Support club visibility goals by actively participating in club social media content, promoting theme classes, and acting as a vibrant local brand ambassador.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fitness & Boxing Expertise: Deep understanding of boxing/kickboxing fundamentals, physical conditioning, and proper exercise mechanics.

  • Coaching, Energy & Showmanship: Proven capability to command a large room or bring elite, individual focus to a class as small as 1 or 2 members. We believe every single member deserves a premium experience; the exact same level of thorough preparation, technical skill, high energy, and showmanship is required whether teaching a packed house or a single client.

  • Communication & Voice Projection: Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly and confidently project your voice over loud fitness music to safely command the training floor.

  • Sales Mindset: Confident and proactive in consulting with guests, handling objections, and closing both personal training packages and gym memberships.

  • Experience: Prior personal training, group fitness, or fitness sales experience is highly preferred. Significant amateur/pro fight experience or a strong martial arts background can be substituted.

Certifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Active CPR and AED certifications (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

  • Preferred: A degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a nationally recognized personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, etc.).

Physical Demands & Environment

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Requires high physical effort daily including demonstrating exercises, holding punch mitts, bending, stretching, and prolonged standing/moving.

  • Ability to work dynamic hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekend rotations to support class schedules.

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive class rates, strong personal training commissions, and performance bonuses for membership sales conversions.

  • Free elite club membership access (including access to premium amenities like the Styku Body Scanner).

  • A vibrant, music-driven, supportive team culture with massive potential to build your personal training book of business.

Company Description
