Job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Unloader to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and efficiently. This position requires mechanical knowledge and experience with various heavy equipment, making it essential for maintaining the smooth operation of our warehouse.
Responsibilities

  • Safely unload materials from trucks and containers using appropriate equipment such as cherry pickers, order pickers, and clamp trucks.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and report any discrepancies or damages to the warehouse supervisor.
  • Organize and store materials in designated areas within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Assist in inventory management by accurately recording received items and updating inventory systems as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving operations within a warehouse setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices.
  • Experience operating cherry pickers, order pickers, clamp trucks, or similar equipment is preferred.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
