Job description

Interview Required

Performs packaging duties for the shipment of Company product, Company owned material, and Company Supplier material. Processes packed orders to accommodate the method of shipment. Loads product and material onto trucks to

ship orders to destination. Use the Company MRP system to document the packing, processing, and shipment of product and material.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determine proper packing material based on type of product or material.
  • Build cartons, tubes, skids, redi-crates and wood crates of different sizes to properly pack the product or material.
  • Process packed orders using the MRP system to accommodate the required method of shipment by scheduling in the UPS system or staging for another small box or LTL carrier pick up.
  • Load packed and processed material onto carrier trucks using pallet jacks, sit-down forklift, hoist, etc.
  • Operate electrical and pneumatic tools, standard construction and mechanical tools, weight scales, and computer.
  • Possess beginning to basic knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements For Consideration

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • 0-2 years of Shipping experience.
  • Standing, Stooping, Kneeling, and Walking.
  • Occasional standing for long periods of time.
  • Frequent standing, lifting, and walking with up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Basic math skills and ability to use basic measurement equipment (ruler, scale, calipers, tape measure).
