Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

Sell theater tickets over the phone or in person at the box office window. Receive payments for tickets. Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change. Pick up and drop off bank at beginning and end of shift. Secure bank in safe deposit box. Balance daily work, drop receipts and daily deposits. Answer customers' questions, and provide information on theater policies and procedures, ticket prices, and specials. Establish or identify ticket prices and tabulate bills. Enter mail-in and phoned in ticket orders into computer. Alert appropriate box office personnel when box office supplies are low. Inventory supplies needed for box office transactions. Serve as bank balance witness for other box office attendants.

Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Protect the privacy and security of guests and coworkers. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
