Job description

We are looking for a Quality Inspector experienced in Quality Assurance to join our dynamic team in Gainesville, Texas. This position is responsible for performing start-up and in-process inspection of injection molded plastic products as they come off of the machine.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Perform start-up and hourly in-process inspections following established procedures and work instructions
  • Verify that blueprint revision called out on job traveler matches current blue print revision
  • Verify that the material type and color called out on shop traveler is correct
  • Verify that the part being manufactured matches the part shown on the blueprint
  • Perform color verification using the color computer and approved color data
  • Complete necessary paperwork and stamp job traveler indicating acceptance
  • Fill out appropriate box labels and affix to outside of boxes
  • Maintains clean and orderly work areas
  • Reports to work on time and adheres to lunch and break schedules
  • Complete special projects and perform other duties as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to use basic measurement tools
  • Ability to perform basic math functions
  • Ability to differentiate colors
  • Ability to work in hot or cold temperature climates for extended periods
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift or slide boxes packed with parts
  • Ability and willingness to change job functions at a moment's notice
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
