Overview
TRUCK DRIVER (N-WRHS):
Bowhead seeks a Truck Driver to support the Advanced Technologies Division. The Truck Driver position provides maintenance of equipment and delivery of supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of warehouse and shipping and receiving operations, a good driving record, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The position requires on site work in both White Plains, MD and Dahlgren, VA.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations:
  • Perform shipping, receiving and delivery functions for a warehouse environment.
  • Perform the organization/maintaining of warehouse spaces to ensure cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Perform the fulfillment of orders by picking, packing, preparation and delivery of items for shipment.
Duties:
  • Safely perform delivery operations from the warehouse to the customers locations.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment and warehouse tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in warehouse activities.
Qualifications
Education: Individual shall have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Experience shall include two (2) years of experience operating a motor vehicle with a commercial driver's license (CDL). Must possess an approved state CDL license upon start date of position.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting shipping and receiving documents and reports.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and industry standards.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent standing, bending, walking, and kneeling in warehouse and workshop environments.
  • Comfortable working in varying conditions, including temperature fluctuations and noise.
  • Manual dexterity for operating tools and equipment with precision.

Target hourly range is between $20 - $35/hr commensurate with experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for this contract.
