Job description

Summary

We are representing a fast-growing General Contractor seeking a Traveling Superintendent to manage Commercial Tenant Improvement (TI) and ground-up projects across the country. This position is ideal for someone with a background in high-end and boutique retail construction who can handle fast-paced project demands, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure top-tier finish quality. The role requires frequent travel and strong leadership on-site, especially in tight schedules and detailed environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations for commercial TI and ground-up retail projects nationwide

  • Supervise subcontractors to ensure high-end finishes and luxury retail standards are achieved

  • Review plans, submittals, and schedules; ensure all work complies with specifications

  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and inspectors to facilitate smooth project execution

  • Conduct and document jobsite meetings, safety protocols, and daily reports

  • Enforce project timelines, monitor budget adherence, and support closeout efforts

  • Lead final inspections, walkthroughs, and ensure punch list completion

  • Utilize Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project to manage tasks, reporting, and communication

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction

  • Experience in luxury/boutique retail, or similarly detailed projects preferred

  • Strong communication, documentation, and scheduling skills

  • Ability to interpret plans across architectural, MEP, and finish trades

  • Proficient in construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)

  • Must be willing and able to travel nationwide as required
