Boulder information

What types of projects and collaboration can I expect when working as a boulder setter in a climbing gym?

As a boulder setter, you'll typically work closely with other setters, gym managers, and sometimes members to design and install new bouldering routes. Your daily tasks will involve brainstorming creative problems, physically setting holds, and testing routes for difficulty and safety. Collaboration is key, as you'll often provide feedback on colleagues' routes and adjust your own based on team input. This role offers a dynamic and physically engaging work environment, with opportunities to develop advanced setting skills and potentially move into lead setter or management roles within the gym.
