Plant Operation Consultant

Location: Remote (USA)

Experience: 8–15 Years

Must-Have Skills
  • 8+ years of experience in Manufacturing Operations / Plant Operations Consulting
  • Strong Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) and MES execution/solution experience
  • Consulting experience in Digital Plant Operations
  • Strong understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts and manufacturing digital transformation
  • Experience leading or supporting business transformation programs
  • Manufacturing industry experience, preferably:
    • Automotive
    • Industrial Manufacturing / IMC
    • Chemical
    • Paper & Pulp
    • Metals
  • Ability to understand customer business needs and develop customer-centric solutions
  • Experience with business process mapping and tools such as:
    • ARIS
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Enterprise Architect (EA)
  • Strong subject matter expertise in Manufacturing Business Process Management
  • Knowledge of MOM processes across:
    • Production
    • Quality
    • Inventory
    • Maintenance
    • Environment & Safety
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • Knowledge of component assembly and fabrication processes
  • Experience driving productivity improvement and de-bottlenecking initiatives
  • Understanding of applying Cloud, Analytics, Big Data, Mobility, and other emerging technologies to manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of manufacturing frameworks and standards such as:
    • Lean
    • Six Sigma
    • Theory of Constraints (ToC)
    • ISA-95
    • MESA Model
  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
  • MBA or other postgraduate qualification
  • Go-to-Market / Pre-Sales experience
  • Exposure to Design Thinking
  • AI/ML and Data Science experience in manufacturing
  • SCADA and Plant Automation
  • Plant-floor IT support systems including network, infrastructure, and servers related to MES
  • MESA membership or industry-standard certifications
  • Demonstrated innovation, thought leadership, and manufacturing SME expertise
  • Experience with BPM tools and manufacturing process optimization
  • Experience in consulting organizations and large-scale transformation programs
  • Strong industry-based knowledge of manufacturing methods, processes, and best practices
