Salary Range: Starting at $18.00
Speedy is hiring a dedicated, reliable general laborer to join our growing team at the Speedy Redemption Center in Topsham, ME. This position is blend of General Labor and Customer Service, you will be interacting with customers as they drop off and redeem their recyclable beverages at our facility. If you are looking to start fresh with a company that offers real growth opportunity, and enjoy a fast-paced environment where team members have your back, then we want to talk to you! We aim to innovate the way bottle redemption is done, and we need more like-minded team members to accomplish our goal.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the receipt and processing of containers returned by customers.
  • Receive, clean, and stack beverage container Collapsible bins using both manual and power equipment.
  • Operate machinery designed to sort, count, and compact empty beverage containers.
  • Clean and maintain sorting areas.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness and organization.
  • Safety first.
  • Arrive to the facility on time and ready to work.

Skills And Experience:
  • Basic math and counting skills.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written, sufficient to perform the job and communicate mechanical maintenance needs.
  • Work experience in a warehouse or production environment is helpful.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stand for an extended time period.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to use computers and other technical systems.
