Job description

Role- Infrastructure Solutions Architect

Duration 6+ Months then extend

Hybrid schedule, this candidate will work 3 days per week onsite at The Client site in Las Vegas, NV

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business vendors, internal teams (Infra and Systems), to figure out use cases they want, and determine if it meets their stands
  • Develop POC's
  • Initial discovery work with internal teams (what's the tech stack, how does it integrate within our systems, etc.)
  • Architectural diagrams
  • Will be point person on the infra side - Need them to come up to speed on virtualization and networking stack
  • Help troubleshoot
  • Oversee builds

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Solutions Architect
  • Strong Windows (domain services), VMWare, SCCM, Domain Integration, Multi-Domain (Red Forest Model), and Networking (layer 3 routing) experience

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee the process for choosing or building technology solutions.

Review project concepts and proposals and develops appropriate technical designs to facilitate integration into the enterprise architecture. Technical designs include software, systems, storage, virtualization, logical and physical networks and security strategies to comply with established standards and meet the requirements of the organization.

Perform product reviews, technology evaluations and service delivery considerations.

Ensure the availability, reliability, integrity, and efficient operation of the enterprise IT architecture is sustained.

Act as project lead in the design and review of new technology.

Conduct capacity planning as needed.

  • Conduct research on products, solutions, services, architecture designs, and standards remain abreast of developments in the technology industry.
  • Establish and implements design principles, policies, and strategies to ensure the security and integrity of the enterprise technology environment.
  • Prepare design documentations, illustrations and white papers to support design decisions.

Perform all work in a manner to ensure interoperability and maintain compliance of enterprise computing systems.

Ensure that proposed and existing technology and security architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a policy for standardizing infrastructure configuration standards.

Provide recommendations to senior or executive IT management regarding product/vendor selection, technology evolution, and design strategies.

Provide root cause analysis, developing and executing corrective action plans for resolution of complex technical issues related to platform and service performance disruptions.

Minimum Qualifications

21 years of age.

Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

Bachelor's degree in MIS or similar technical program or acceptable industry and work experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

Experience in multiple domains:

o Networking specific technologies

LAN routing, switching, and WAN technologies, or experience involving transmission and policy control traffic engineering and operations.

Border security architecture design, implementation and support in a complex enterprise environment.

Security appliance technologies (IDS/IPS, Firewall, Proxy, Application Delivery, SEIM, NAC, Traffic Analyzers, WAAS, and SSLVPN solutions).

Layer 7 Next Generation Firewall; Web Filtering Proxy; Packet Brokering technologies.

o Systems specific technologies

Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Active Directory, Group Policy and related enterprise operating software technologies.

VMWare or comparable virtualization architecture design, implementation and support in a complex enterprise environment.

Nutanix experience a plus.

Storage platform integration, support and tuning with Enterprise Storage solutions and software from 3Par, Hitachi, EMC or equivalent.

Hands on, demonstrable experience in multiple of the following technologies: Cisco UCS, EMC, Data Domain, Ubuntu, RedHat, F5, DNS, DHCP, PKI infrastructure, Certificates, SaaS & IaaS cloud solutions.

o Application Architecture & Solution Design

Microsoft technologies and frameworks, e.g., SQL Server, ASP.NET MVC, WCF, Web API.

Web services (SOAP, RESTful).

Concepts of Object-Oriented Design, CMS Integration, Web Application Security.

Experience in integrating with Cloud technologies, Platform (PaaS) & Application (SaaS).

Demonstrated experience of working in a highly regulated environment (MICS, PCI, SOX).

Training and experience with ITSM practices.

Working knowledge of Architectural Principles and Design methodologies. Knowledge of UML modeling techniques and business process modeling.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.

Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to:
