Position Summary
At Hyatt, we believe our guests select Hyatt because of our caring and attentive associates who are focused on providing efficient service and meaningful experiences. We are seeking a dependable and observant Overnight Security & Maintenance Officer to ensure the safety, security, and overall condition of our property during overnight hours. This position combines traditional security responsibilities with light maintenance and basic engineering support. The ideal candidate will conduct routine property patrols, respond to guest concerns, perform minor repairs, and assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and well-functioning environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Security Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the property.
- Monitor and secure entrances, exits, and restricted-access areas.
- Respond to security incidents, disturbances, and emergency situations.
- Complete detailed incident and shift reports.
- Assist guests, and team members with safety-related concerns.
- Report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
- Coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Ensure all doors, gates, and access points are properly secured during the overnight shift.
Maintenance Responsibilities
- Perform basic painting, touch-ups, and cosmetic repairs.
- Complete minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, painting, tightening fixtures, unclogging drains, and changing air filters.
- Perform simple repairs to furniture, doors, locks, and other property equipment.
- Identify and report larger repair needs requiring specialized contractors or engineering personnel.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment.
- Assist with preventative maintenance projects as assigned.
- Maintain maintenance logs and work order documentation.
- Ensure public areas remain clean, safe, and presentable throughout the shift.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous security, maintenance, hospitality, facilities, or property management experience preferred.

- Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.

Physical Requirements
