Job description

Description
Skycap duties include assisting wheelchair passengers and passengers with medical devices. This position is suited to outgoing, friendly, independent, thoughtful and punctual individuals. Skycaps display high levels of effective communication with colleagues, passengers, airline staff, TSA, RST staff and others. This position requires working in a fast paced environment with time constraints to meet arrival and departure goals. Skycaps are required to lift 50lb+ bags, be on their feet for long periods, walk long distances and push passengers on wheelchairs up and down jet bridge inclines. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee.
Parking duties include manning the parking booth and greeting passengers/patients as needed.
Other Duties Include:
  • Assist departing passengers with baggage from personal vehicle to skycap podium
  • Assist arriving passengers with baggage from baggage claim area to personal vehicle
  • Assist disabled/elderly passengers with mobility assistance to/from aircraft in compliance with ADA/Airline/FSS policies and procedures
  • Assist passengers by answering questions and directing to toilet facilities, concessions and other airport areas
  • Assist airline personnel as requested
  • Being proactive and working independently
  • Being able to work operational hours that range from 4:30am-11:00pm, 7 days a week. Weekend and holiday shifts will occasionally be required.
  • Provide customer service to parking lot customers daily.
  • Troubleshoot issues customers may have using the parking lot.
  • Provide oversight of parking lot security and notify security if issues arise.
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements
• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
