Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Licensed Crane Operator (Lattice Boom) to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Licensed Crane Operator (Lattice Boom) performs lifting, moving, and placing extremely heavy loads of material and equipment in certain areas scope.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manipulates crane control to regulate speed and direction of crane and hoist movement to written, verbal, or signal instructions.
  • Loads, transports, and unloads materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Inspectcranefor defensive parts andnotifiessupervisors of malfunctions.
  • Assistsin assembly and disassembly of cranes.
  • 3-dimensionalwebs of metalwith triangular patterns known as lattices.
  • Mayassistin lifting, positioning, andsecuring ofmaterials and work piecesduring installation.
  • Safelyoperatecrane, hoist mechanism,toolsand materials.
  • Plans and coordinates crane movement and set up.
  • Observe load hook up anddeterminessafetyof load.
  • Cleans andmaintainscraneand hoistingmechanism.
  • Calculate load capacities, working radii, boom angles, and boom lengths

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Related trade school education is preferred.
  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Five years' experience as acrane operator.
  • Must be ableto obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures,equipmentand HSE guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read,comprehendand carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently whenrequired.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and trainonproper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing. Individuals must have a valid driver's license and driving record that meets Company requirements.
