We are looking for a Vehicle Operator to be based at the Lawrenceville reporting to the Operations Manager. The salary is $15.00 - $16.00

Job Summary:

The Vehicle Operator is responsible for the efficient and safe operation of a motorized lift vehicle to pull products based on customer orders.  They will need experience in operating lifting devices such as forklifts, boom, scoop, lift bean, swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, hitch, elevating platform, or trailer.  

Responsibilities:

  • Move levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus
  • Position forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, materials.
  • Hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch, and transports load to designated area
  • Unload and stack material by raising and lowering lifting device
  • Inventory materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed
  • Weigh material or product and records weight on tags, labels or production schedules
  • Load/Unload material on and off pallet, skid or lifting device
  • Other duties as assigned


Skills, Abilities

Skilled In:

  • Verbal communication
  • Using tools required in this position
  • Multitasking, paying attention to detail

Ability To:

  • To drive forklifts that may include Cherry Picker, Hi/Lo Reach, 4 wheel sit down, Turret etc.

Selective Preference:

 

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience driving experience; High School diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
