 Hartung Glass Industries is seeking a Class A CDL Delivery Driver who likes to be hands-on and safely deliver glass to our customers in a timely manner. With a pay range of $27 to $32+ per hour (based on experience), plus excellent benefits, this position is for those who don't mind a physically demanding role and takes pride in delivering quality!


Your Role: As a Delivery Driver with Hartung Glass Industries, you are the critical link between our quality glass products and our customers. This role involves both local and cross-border routes with some early morning start times. You will manually load, offload, and deliver glass to various job sites, ensuring every delivery is handled safely and efficiently.   


What to Expect: More than just a driving job.

  • Physical Demands: Handling glass includes lifting, carrying and loading glass materials, so strength and endurance are a must!
  • Hands-on Deliveries: Secure and check loads, load/unload at customer sites, and perform routine maintenance on your vehicle. 
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally, ensure timely deliveries and manage back orders or returns. 
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain thorough vehicle logs, driver logs, and complete all necessary paperwork accurately.

Requirements

Safety is your number one priority

  • Class A CDL license (Required)
  • Maintain an acceptable MVR and current DOT Medical card
  • Ability to pass a road test and DOT regulated drug/alcohol screen
  • Experience in safe driving practices and vehicle inspection procedures (Pre & post trip vehicle inspections)
  • Check and secure loads
  • Meet scheduling requirements as outlined by Shipping Manager
  •  Willingness to travel for short overnight runs as needed 
  • Ability to operate flatbed load/ unload jobsite deliveries with Moffett and Knuckle Boom (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry, load/ unload glass
  • Ability to provide stellar customer service and resolve issues as needed
  • Great, reliable attendance and work ethics are a must
  • Other duties as assigned
