Bookkeeper

Position Summary

The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. This role ensures timely processing of financial transactions, maintains organized accounting records, and assists with month-end and year-end procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to accuracy while demonstrating a desire to learn and grow within the accounting profession.

Essential Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices.
  • Prepare weekly payment runs via check, ACH, or electronic payment.
  • Maintain vendor files and W-9 documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries professionally.

Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and distribute customer invoices.
  • Record customer payments and deposits.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections.
  • Maintain accurate customer account records.

General Bookkeeping

  • Record daily financial transactions.
  • Maintain the general ledger through accurate journal entries.
