  • **Reports To:** Director of CAAS
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) Associate for Isler CPA's growing, fast-paced CAAS department. This in-office position is designed for individuals with an associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting who are looking to launch their career in a structured, professional environment. Reporting to the Director of CAAS, you will work directly with a variety of clients to support day-to-day accounting, payroll processing, and financial reporting responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily accounting tasks such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
  • Process payroll for clients, ensuring timely and accurate filings in compliance with federal, state, and local laws
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and update client records in QuickBooks Online, including transaction entry, reporting, and system organization
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements
  • Communicate with clients to gather financial information, respond to inquiries, and provide high-quality support
  • Assist with the onboarding and setup of new client accounts
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling all client financial data
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency in client workflows
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of CAAS or other CAAS senior accountants
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Accounting or a closely related field
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and terminology
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is required
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency
  • One year or more of prior experience in public or private accounting utilizing QBO
  • Familiarity with payroll processes and related tax compliance
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and time management abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to work on-site full-time; remote or hybrid options are not available
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping in a public accounting environment
  • Knowledge of governmental accounting standards (e.g., GASB)
  • Interest in pursuing additional credentials such as CPA or CPP
