Job description

We are looking for a strong, hands-on accounting professional to join our oil and gas accounting team. This role requires someone who can handle multiple tasks delegated from various business divisions. You must be comfortable digging into problems, fixing issues, and producing reliable financial information. You will assist the accounting manager in various ad-hoc reporting and projects.

Duties

  • Assist with processing payroll accurately and completely, including time verification, deductions, tax withholdings, per diems, field overtime, and multi-state or oilfield-specific requirements; generate all related reports and filings.
  • Assist with the full accounts payable and receivable cycles, month-end and year-end close, bank and credit-card reconciliations.
  • Process and audit oilfield tickets and invoices in OpenTicket (Enverus), and related systems—performing verification, proper coding, and integration while ensuring correct underlying accounting.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations with office management, HR, safety and fleet.
  • Perform GPS Audit reviews and expense allocation analysis to support accurate cost tracking and compliance.
  • Recommend processes, documentation, and controls so the accounting function runs cleanly and efficiently.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of solid bookkeeping and accounting experience
  • Experience with full accounting cycle
