Safe and Sound Security is California’s fastest-growing commercial security integrator. We specialize in commercial security systems and data cabling and have been serving businesses for over 15 years. With rapid growth and increasing operational complexity, we’re seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure accurate, timely reporting.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with QuickBooks expertise and experience managing bookkeeping processes in a growing company.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Financial Operations: Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
  • QuickBooks Oversight: Maintain and optimize QuickBooks Online workflows for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and support management with actionable insights.
  • Tax & Compliance: Ensure timely sales tax filings, payroll tax compliance, and other regulatory reporting.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement bookkeeping and accounting process improvements to drive operational efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with operations, HR, and management to support strategic initiatives.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Guide junior accounting staff or assistants as the team grows.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable/receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience in a fast-growing company or small business environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
  • On-site availability in Walnut Creek, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
