Description
  • Sell LDS Church curriculum, clothing and Deseret Book products and services in a retail store environment.
  • Deliver and exhibit world-class sales and customer service.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate store associates.
  • Oversee retail store operations such as cashiering, gift wrapping, merchandise, presentation, shipping/receiving, store recovery, etc.
  • Give assignments and follow up to ensure timely and correct completion.
  • Assist customers with proper fit and usage of clothing items and other related products.
  • Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, gift-wrapping, etc.
  • Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation.
  • Perform store opening and closing assignments.

Required Skills
  • BFOQ - Must be a female who has received her own personal endowments and possesses a current temple recommend.
  • Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills a must.
  • 1 year of Distribution Services, Deseret Book or other retail experience required.
  • Knowledge of LDS Church curriculum and clothing products preferred.
  • Knowledge of Deseret Book products, policies, and procedures preferred.
  • Computer and cashiering skills preferred.
  • Ability to resolve routine customer problems and negotiate effective solutions.
  • Ability to coach and lead store associates.
  • Self-motivated with excellent team skills.
  • Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)
  • Ability to hear, understand and respond to customers and associates.
  • Ability to locate and identify product for customers.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and regularly lift 30-40 lbs.
