What you'll do at Lewer:
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Client Advocacy Advisor, you lead the day-to-day management of an assigned book of business and are accountable for delivering the full-service plan for each client. You ensure plan performance, documentation, and service activities are executed accurately and on time, oversee implementation and transition work, coordinate marketing activity and carrier deliverables, and guide client communications and meeting preparation. You own issue resolution and escalations, maintain complete and current records across systems, and provide clear recommendations that advance benefit strategy, renewal readiness, and compliance expectations.
Your Key Areas of Impact
Client Satisfaction: You lead the day-to-day client relationship for a designated book of business, set the tone and cadence for service delivery, and ensure questions and issues receive timely, accurate responses. You prepare materials for client meetings, document decisions and next steps, and keep stakeholders informed as work progresses. You maintain comprehensive records of communications and resolutions so that clients experience consistent, professional service and can rely on a clear history of activity and outcomes.
Plan Strategy: You translate client objectives into practical benefit strategies by evaluating options, coordinating marketing activity, and developing plan comparisons and benchmarking that inform recommendations. You review plan documents and contracts for accuracy, monitor regulatory updates, and provide compliance communications as needed so that clients understand options, risks, and impacts before making decisions. Your work supports funding, vendor, and design choices that align with client goals and deliver measurable value.
Renewal Outcomes: You lead renewal readiness and execution by requesting and tracking carrier renewals and quotes, validating results, and preparing clear analyses and recommendations for client review. You coordinate open enrollment timelines and communications, support meeting delivery, and oversee carrier submissions and final documentation to ensure accurate, on-time implementation. Your stewardship through the renewal cycle strengthens planning discipline, improves decision quality, and supports client satisfaction and retention.
Operational Excellence: You uphold data integrity, documentation completeness, and financial accuracy across systems and files by maintaining current specifications, applications, summaries, and policy checks; coordinating invoicing; and addressing discrepancies promptly. You manage implementation activities when plans change or new carriers are introduced and keep service schedules and project plans on track. You set a high standard for responsiveness, clarity, and follow-through, and you provide guidance to junior team members on process, quality, and client expectations to promote consistent delivery.
The Work Environment, Physical Demands & Travel
Your work is conducted primarily at the Lewer Administrative Offices, with eligibility to work from home in accordance with company policy. You must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time, and be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. You will operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer 95% of the time. You will need to be able to lift to 20 lbs. Travel is required for this seat and is less than 10%.
Your qualifications:
Requirements
You hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business or a related field or bring equivalent experience, and you have a successful track record in employee benefits client service, typically three to seven years. You demonstrate strong written and verbal communication, professional presence in client settings, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint. You are also proficient with Adobe and CRM systems, with Employee Navigator and AgencyBloc preferred. You understand benefits market dynamics and applicable regulations, complete continuing education as needed, and meet licensing requirements, including holding a life & health insurance license or obtaining one within 90 days of hire.
