Job description

Bonitz, Inc., an Employee-Owned Company, is seeking a commercial floor care field technician. This position is responsible for providing professional level floor care maintenance to our commercial. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining carpet, and resilient floors, cleaning of equipment, and bringing value to the customers to upkeep the life of the floor.

Founded in 1954, Bonitz, Inc. is an Employee-Owned Company operating as specialty trade commercial contractors servicing the construction industry. Bonitz designs and installs custom flooring, walls, ceilings, and cladding systems. We offer access, terrazzo and other specialty flooring as well as floor care. We are committed to providing best in class project consulting, project management, and craftsmanship while delivering superior service and practical solutions. Bonitz has divisions in SC, NC, GA, TN, VA, LA, and FL.

Position Essential Duties:

  • Ability to speak with and interact with subcontractors and field associates.
  • Deliver superior service to all customers, going above and beyond expectations
  • Attend organizational needs regarding occasional meetings
  • Prioritize to meet all deadlines, and timeframes internally and for customers
  • Clean and return all equipment to “inspection ready” on a daily basis
  • Notate and bring awareness of any issues discovered while on job
  • Ability to follow instructions and verbal direction

Education/Experience and Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to figure things out with little to no direction, self-starter
  • Must be able to multi-task, good time management skills
  • Attention to detail, prioritize and organize workflow
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • 3+ years’ experience as a floor technician preferred. Willing to train right applicants.
  • Professional appearance and disposition
  • Ability to work with initiative and independence, as well as team environment.

  • Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
