Lightning Specialists Inc. is seeking motivated individuals looking to build a long-term career in the electrical and construction trades. We specialize in the installation of lightning protection systems on commercial, industrial, government, and specialty structures throughout Florida.
No experience is required for the right candidate. We provide paid hands-on training, company-sponsored certifications, tools, safety equipment, and a structured apprenticeship program designed to develop entry-level employees into skilled tradesmen and certified installers.
This is not a repetitive construction job. Our crews work on a wide variety of unique projects including schools, industrial facilities, launch-related sites, high-end commercial buildings, towers, and government properties. Employees have the opportunity to travel to different job sites regularly and gain experience in a specialized electrical trade that very few people know exists.

Job Requirements:
  • 18 years of age or older. 
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Clean driving history. 
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check. (Many projects are located on federal and secure facilities). 
  • Comfortable working outdoors in the Florida heat. 
  • Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, and lift up to 60 lbs. 
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. 
  • Construction or electrical experience is a plus, but not required. 

Daily Job Responsibilities:
  • Installing lightning protection cabling and components on buildings and structures. 
  • Working with grounding and bonding systems. 
  • Using hand tools and power tools. 
  • Digging and trenching. 
  • Reading construction drawings and blueprints. 
  • Following OSHA and jobsite-specific safety requirements. 
  • Traveling to job sites throughout Florida.
