Job Summary: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent and 5+years of Supply Chain experience. Execute VAVE/Cost Reduction/Cost Optimization projects Costed BOM Analysis (Multi-level BOM) Physical/Digital Product Teardown (Stripping down product to lowest level i.e., child-part level) Conduct brainstorming/ideation sessions – for generating cost reduction ideas Ideas screening and ranking – Remove duplicate/impractical ideas and rank remaining ideas on certain parameters Technical evaluation of ideas (design/material/process change etc.) Ability to study and analyze Design requirements, Materials, Manufacturing Processes and identify Cost drivers.
