Job description

We are looking for a Functional Lead - Production Accounting to drive a high-impact system conversion in an acquisition-driven environment. This role sits at the intersection of production accounting, systems, and data, requiring someone who can translate business logic into system configuration while working closely with accounting, operations, and data engineering teams.
What You'll Do
  • Lead production accounting system conversion (ProCount or similar platforms)
  • Translate production accounting logic (allocation, DOI, production-to-revenue) into system workflows
  • Drive data validation, reconciliation, and parallel testing (UAT)
  • Partner with data engineers on datasets (SQL, flat files, ingestion/validation)
  • Support end-to-end conversion lifecycle: mapping โ†’ testing โ†’ validation โ†’ cutover
  • Ensure accuracy across production, revenue, and financial reporting flows
  • Work cross-functionally with Accounting, IT, and Operations teams

Must-Have Experience
  • 10 + years in upstream oil & gas production accounting
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • ProCount OR similar systems (Enertia, ProdView, P2 Bolo)
  • Proven experience in:
    • System implementation or conversion projects (not just support)
    • Allocation, DOI, and production-to-revenue workflows
  • Strong experience with:
    • UAT, data validation, and reconciliation
    • Working with datasets (SQL / flat files)

Nice to Have
  • M&A or acquisition-driven system conversion experience
  • Exposure to SCADA โ†’ production โ†’ revenue integration flows
  • Experience building validation/reconciliation frameworks
