Purpose and targets of the position
  • Drive profitable growth for Recovery & Fiber Spare Parts by achieving order intake, sales, gross margin, and operating profitability targets while maintaining competitive, market-based pricing.
  • Strengthen customer satisfaction and aftermarket sales by improving responsiveness, expanding customer engagement, developing recommended spare parts solutions, and supporting key accounts with dependable service.
  • Improve operational efficiency and visibility by standardizing spare parts processes, strengthening data quality, advancing automation and shared customer-inquiry tools, and improving sourcing and vendor performance.
  • Build a capable, engaged, and adaptable team through clear priorities, coaching, succession planning, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement across the regional and global spare parts organization.

Tasks and Responsibilities of the position
  • Lead the Recovery & Fiber Spare Parts team, set priorities, remove roadblocks, coach team members, and provide support on customer, commercial, technical, and order-execution issues.
  • Monitor incoming requests, quotations, orders, open opportunities, lead times, and priority deliveries; coordinate timely follow-up with customers, sales representatives, purchasing, shops, logistics, and product teams.
  • Review sales activity, order intake, quotation status, gross margin, backlog, supplier issues, and critical customer commitments; escalate risks and drive corrective actions.
  • Support customer visits, negotiations, pricing decisions, and key opportunities; ensure competitive market-based pricing while protecting gross margin and customer value.
  • Review financial and operating performance against order intake, sales, gross margin, operating cost, and profitability targets; prepare forecasts, management reports, and actions to address gaps.
  • Evaluate supplier, shop, sourcing, and delivery performance; develop alternate sources, reduce lead times and risk, improve cost and quality, and support resolution of recurring issues.
  • Coordinate with product management, capital projects, upgrades, and regional sales teams to identify aftermarket opportunities, develop recommended spare parts lists, prepare for outages, and strengthen key-account plans.
  • Lead continuous-improvement initiatives that standardize customer request handling, quoting, order tracking, master data, and cross-team communication; advance practical automation and system integration.
  • Develop the regional spare-parts strategy, budget, sales and margin targets, staffing and succession plans, team goals, and capability-development priorities; track execution throughout the year and adjust plans as business conditions change.

KPIs and Goals of the position
  • Local order intake, sales, gross margin, process/product warranty, operating costs, and profitability (EBITA) of the assigned region
  • Ensure webCRM is utilized per ANDRITZ business processes
  • Individual goals defined yearly

Education
  • B.S. (or higher) in engineering
  • Additional degree in business management a plus

Professional Experience
  • Extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry, with a career spanning both the customer and equipment-and-service provider sides of the business. Boiler and White Liquor Plant knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership in one or more of the following areas: spare parts management, aftermarket sales, customer service, commercial operations, team development.
  • Proven experience leading process standardization, continuous-improvement, and change initiatives across regional and global matrix organizations.
  • Strong track record of managing order intake, sales, gross margin, pricing, forecasting, supplier performance, and customer commitments in a competitive business environment.
  • Experience developing recommended spare parts solutions, supporting key accounts, conducting customer and mill visits, and collaborating with regional sales, capital, upgrades, technical, purchasing, and operations teams a plus.
  • Knowledge of SAP, customer relationship and case-management systems such as WebCRM, and data analysis.
  • Established professional network across North American pulp and paper manufacturers, suppliers, technical teams, and industry organizations.
