Ameresco is hiring 3 Boiler Operators for the day shift to support a high-pressure steam plant at the Naval Research Laboratory. Operators will work 8 hour shifts to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor boilers, pumps, and associated equipment.

  • Perform routine plant rounds and report abnormalities.

  • Maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards.

  • Complete shift logs and daily reports accurately.

  • Assist with plant start-up/shutdown following SOPs.

  • Respond to trouble calls and escalate as needed.

  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety policies.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Valid U.S. driver's license in good standing.

  • Minimum 2 years mechanical/electrical experience.

  • Ability to review confidential US security information.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 1st or 3rd Class High-Pressure Steam Operator License preferred.

  • Experience with high-pressure boiler operation.

  • Familiarity with rotating shift schedules.

  • Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

The anticipated hourly range for this role is $42.88-$44.47 per hour (presented in good faith). In addition to base pay, employees receive a comprehensive benefits package, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off, and may be eligible for performance incentives, bonuses, commissions, or equity, depending on the role. Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location.
