Responsibilities

Howย youโ€™llย make an impactย inย this roleย 

  • Operates, controls, and safely shuts down primary and auxiliary power plant systems, including low and high-pressure steam boilers, turbines, generators, chillers, and HVAC equipment using control boards and sequential switches.ย 
  • Monitors meters, gauges, and computer indicators at regular intervals to regulate power flow, adjust water levels, and diagnose potential equipment malfunctions or operating problems.ย 
  • Conducts troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on facility equipment, which may extend to pneumatic tube systems, medical vacuums, water sampling/testing, or generalย maintenanceย mechanicย duties.ย 
  • Compiles precise operational data by completing forms,ย maintainingย logs, writing malfunction reports, and managing emergency communications andย personnelย call-ins during power outages.ย 
  • Supports plant leadership byย assistingย withย team workย assignments, training colleagues on daily equipment operations, andย participatingย in workshops, training seminars, and assigned special projects.ย
