Job description

Maintenance WorkerPosition Summary

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Worker to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment, completing repairs, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility. Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing steam boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
  • Inspect facility systems and identify maintenance needs before they become major problems.
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain steam boilers and associated equipment in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Perform routine boiler inspections, water treatment checks, and minor repairs.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair records.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable safety standards.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Assist with general building maintenance, including painting, carpentry, and grounds upkeep as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of general maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience with steam boiler operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting strongly preferred.
  • Boiler operator or stationary engineer license/certification is a plus, where applicable.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Physical Requirements

Preferred Experience
