Manufacturing Planner (Experienced Level)

Company:

Boeing Aerospace Operations

Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a Manufacturing Planner (Experienced Level) to support various military programs out of Fort Walton Beach, FL.

The role involves the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies, as well as active participation in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure the integration of technical solutions across various disciplines. The individual is responsible for creating and identifying conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture necessary for production. Additionally, they lead implement manufacturing plans, conduct thorough producibility and variation analyses to confirm that the manufacturing process capabilities align with project requirements.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrates producibility and manufacturability knowledge, information and requirements into the acquire and define program phases as the designated Integrated Product Team (IPT) interface.

  • Conceptualizes, designs and manages the program architecture for build.

  • Defines, develops and implements the manufacturing plan and represents the program as the primary manufacturing integrator throughout the acquire, define, produce and support phases of the product life cycle.

  • Develops advanced manufacturing and engineering technologies and advocates, teaches and deploys company Lean Enterprise analysis methods and application of lean processes and tools.

  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies, professional associations, suppliers and internal and external customers to implement program initiatives.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of modification experience at an airline or an MRO

  • 3+ years of experience working as a manufacturing planner or reading/interpreting manufacturing plans in support of production work

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)

  • Experience working in production or manufacturing environment

  • Experience with Tooling

  • Experience with the configuration management tool CMPro

  • Experience with the Goldesp system

  • Experience working with WIRS software
