Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the flight ramp in Berkley, MO!
The ideal candidate for this position will have a solid fundamental understanding of various Mechanical competencies to include: Mechanic Machine Repair, Maintenance Mechanic All-Around, Mechanic Automotive, and Facility Maintenance
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining aviation ground support equipment. Perform daily inspections and complete associated paperwork. Maintain maintenance periodic inspection plan and perform tasks to plan.
  • Assist in maintaining, rebuild, repair, service, assemble, diagnose and correct malfunctions in automotive, transportation equipment, battery operated motive equipment, cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers) and internal combustion engines.
  • Maintain facility cleanliness by using powered and un-powered cleaning equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory control of automotive fleet of trucks. Operate and maintain inspection of the fleet.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory control of support equipment. Maintain support equipment facility.
  • Assist in planning and performing unusual and difficult work where standard or recognized inspection methods may not be available.
  • Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may not be available. Care and judgment to fit and adjust parts and assemblies to requirements and specifications.
  • Assist in performing a sequence of operations where standard methods may or may not be available. Considerable judgment necessary to perform complicated operations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 1+ years of experience in Production Equipment Maintenance
  • 1+ years of experience in Ground Support Equipment Maintenance
  • 1+ years of experience working independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience specific to Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Forklift Certified

  • New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.
