Position Overview:
The Integrated Logistics and Technical Support Specialist will provide comprehensive lifecycle logistics and technical support to the C-130 Program, with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, sustainment planning, program analysis, and technical advisory support. This role is responsible for coordinating with U.S. and UK military and civilian stakeholders, managing documentation and compliance records, and supporting operational effectiveness and airworthiness of the assigned weapon system and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program and Technical Support
  • Analyze and resolve logistics and technical challenges using databases such as D043, CAV AF, FedMall, JEDMICS, ETIMS, and Haystack.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to senior leaders and maintenance personnel, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving complex malfunctions.
  • Recommend and support implementation of corrective actions via TCTOs or technical order changes.
  • Support feasibility studies, technical evaluations, kit proofs, trial installations, and TCTO/technical data verifications.
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) involving engineering, program management, military leadership, and contractors.
Lifecycle and Product Support
  • Support the development and maintenance of lifecycle documentation including Postproduction Support Plans (PPSP), Transition to Postproduction Plans (TPP), and Postproduction Transition Plans (PPTP).
  • Perform readiness and cost analyses to support lifecycle sustainment decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development of Performance-Based Logistics (PBL) strategies and sustainment initiatives.
Logistics Coordination and Documentation
  • Coordinate logistics elements such as spares, support equipment (SE), training, facilities, provisioning, and technical data in accordance with ILS requirements.
  • Assist in preparation and maintenance of key documentation including Integrated Logistics Support Plans (ILSP), Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), and technical manuals.
  • Support logistics planning activities and participate in program management reviews and logistics meetings.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
  • Provide administrative and compliance support to the UK C-17 Engineering and Safety Team.
  • Manage and maintain the UK Virtual Fleet SharePoint site, ensuring compliance with records management policies, including the distinction and handling of airworthiness records.
  • Maintain compliance with UK Military Aviation Regulatory Policy (MRP) and DE&S Airworthiness Policy Instructions by managing CAMMRA tool records and drafting compliance statements for engineer authority review.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in USAF and UK airworthiness policy, ensuring all records and practices remain current.
  • Manage Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMCs), Waivers, Exemptions, and Boeing MAOS/DAOS/CFAOS approvals.
  • Execute and track internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
Training and Stakeholder Support
  • Provide technical training and guidance to support maintenance, logistics, and safety operations.
  • Facilitate and participate in reviews, conferences, and meetings, contributing updates and logistics-focused insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of logistics reports and long-term supportability strategies.

Requirements
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
  • MA/MS degree, and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • BA/BS degree, and fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD -OR-
  • HSD/GED, twenty (20) years of directly related experience, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD.
  • U.S. Citizenship required; Active and Verifiable Secret DOD security clearance required
  • Demonstrated expertise with C-17 systems, maintenance concepts, and support structure.
  • In-depth knowledge of USAF logistics processes, provisioning policies, and sustainment tools (e.g., ETIMS, D200F, D043).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Clearance Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must have Active and Verifiable Secret DOD security clearance required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience working within the AFLCMC/WLM C-17 Program Office.
  • Knowledge of international sustainment agreements and global supply chain coordination.
  • Experience with similar DoD contract support environments.
  • Proficiency in preparing programmatic documentation, logistics support plans, and technical reports.
