Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support aircraft electrical design, testing, certification, and substantiation activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft, aircraft interiors, electrical design, and certification requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical test plans, checklists, and inspection plans.
  • Develop substantiation reports, test plans, and test reports for aircraft cabin safety.
  • Support small STC/PMA projects involving electrical requirements and technical data deliverables.
  • Coordinate supplier data deliverables and responses to technical inquiries, significant issues, and airworthiness concerns.
  • Coordinate with DERs on certification and substantiation activities; DER experience is a plus.
  • Identify applicable major design changes impacting aircraft electrical systems.
  • Support relationships with certification and regulatory agencies.
  • Interface with airline customers during flight testing, laboratory testing, and jig testing.
  • Prepare technical presentations and support project meetings.
  • Review and support aircraft electrical design documentation and certification data.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific/engineering field strongly preferred.
  • 4โ€“7 years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus and Boeing aircraft.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a technical team.
