POSITION SUMMARY

At Big Rig Body Shop, with our trusted partner True North Fleet Services, we are looking for an experienced Body Shop Technician who takes pride in craftsmanship, precision, and doing the job right.

This position is responsible for performing high-quality collision, body, and structural repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of repairs from assessment through completion while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform body and collision repairs on heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Complete body preparation, painting, welding, fiberglass, and frame repair as needed.

Assess vehicle damage and determine the appropriate repair approach.

Take ownership of assigned repairs from start to finish.

Ensure completed work meets quality, appearance, and safety standards.

Maintain consistency in finish, alignment, and structural integrity.

Accurately document repairs, materials, and work completed.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Partner with shop leadership and team members to keep work moving efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience in body repair, collision repair, or refinishing; heavy-duty experience preferred.

Experience with painting, body preparation, welding, fiberglass, and/or frame correction.

Ability to assess damage and complete repairs with limited supervision.

Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.

Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Strong problem-solving skills and personal accountability.

Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus but not required.
