Job description

Wissler Motors is looking for a Body Shop Manager. After nearly 45 years, our current manager is going to retire.
We are looking for someone who can lead the daily operations of our body shop.  This person should be organized, professional, team-oriented, and work well with customers, technicians, insurance companies, vendors and other departments.
This role also includes managing the reconditioning department which includes used vehicle clean-ups, getting vehicles lot-ready, cosmetic repairs, detailing, touch-ups, insurance repairs, and some retail.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily body shop workflow and technician productivity.
  • Inspect vehicle damage to create accurate collision repair estimates and work orders.
  • Communicate well with insurance companies, adjusters, customers, and internal departments and manage expectations.
  • Maintain accurate records and handle all necessary paperwork for repairs and insurance claims.
  • Order necessary parts and materials using estimating software like CCC One.
  • Complete final billing for customers and upload estimates to insurance companies.
  • Understand and keeps abreast of and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect body shop operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA-Right-to-know, etc.
  • Ensure that proper safety equipment is available and being used properly.
  • Monitor the maintenance of the paint booth, lifts, other tools and assets.
  • Oversee reconditioning work for dealership while maintaining a clean and organized work bay.

Qualifications:
  • Positive Attitude.
  • Minimum of 2 years of collision repair, body shop, or estimating experience.

PA State Appraiser License required.
  • Valid PA driver’s license.
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty listed above satisfactorily.
  • Experience with estimating software.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and time management skills.
  • Professional appearance and team-first attitude.
  • ASE, I-CAR, or other industry certifications are a plus.
