Are you passionate about dogs and dedicated to providing top-notch care? We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and hardworking Dog Daycare & Boarding Assistant to join our team.   • Position: Dog Daycare & Boarding Assistant
  • Location: The Dog Chateau, Glenville, NY
  • Job Type: Part-time or Full-time
  • Expected Hours: 15–40 hours per week
  • Hourly Pay: $18–$20 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety, structure, and positive social dynamics of all dogs in a supervised pack environment
  • Lead structured off-leash pack walks and outdoor adventures across our 11 fenced-in acres
  • Facilitate enrichment-based activities that support mental stimulation, confidence, and healthy behavior
  • Monitor and assess canine body language, behavior, and group interactions, proactively preventing and addressing issues
  • Provide individualized care and attention, adapting to each dog’s temperament, energy level, and needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment across all indoor and outdoor spaces to the highest standards
  • Support feeding routines, medication administration, and daily wellness checks with attention to detail
  • Deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Assist in creating a calm, structured, and enriching daily flow, balancing play, rest, and activity
  • Collaborate with team members to uphold The Dog Chateau’s standards of excellence, safety, and care
Qualifications:
  • Genuine passion for dogs and a strong commitment to their safety, well-being, and enrichment
  • Hands-on experience working with dogs in a daycare, boarding, training, shelter, or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of canine behavior, body language, and pack dynamics
  • Ability to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
  • Experience with or interest in basic obedience training and behavior reinforcement
  • Ability to remain calm, observant, and proactive in a fast-paced, group-play environment
  • Strong work ethic with a high level of responsibility, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods, including multiple structured pack walks daily
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a professional, client-focused mindset
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Pet First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain—company-sponsored training provided)
