The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing quality assurance inspections, and maintaining equipment and vehicles according to company standards and regulatory requirements. The position supports sustainability initiatives by implementing upgrades and cost-saving improvements while adhering to safety policies. The Technician collaborates with internal teams and third-party providers to deliver high-quality service, troubleshoot issues, and maintain exterior environments that meet operational and environmental guidelines.

The Exterior Services team is committed to maintaining Walmart and Sam's Club properties through expert landscaping and facility upkeep. The team oversees budgeting, equipment inspections, and repairs while ensuring adherence to safety standards. Collaborating effectively, members prioritize tasks, implement quality assurance, and support sustainable improvements. Engaging with stakeholders, they deliver efficient solutions aligned with company policies to promote operational excellence. This team's dedication ensures safe, well-maintained outdoor environments that support business goals and enhance customer satisfaction through continuous improvement and professional service.
What you'll do:
  • Manage and prioritize exterior facility service projects, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Prepare and execute budgets, including cost estimates and purchase approvals for parts, materials, and equipment.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance activities such as snow removal, landscaping, and exterior cleaning to maintain safe and compliant environments.
  • Operate and inspect heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead third-party providers, conduct performance evaluations, and provide technical assistance for repairs and upgrades.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies while promoting operational efficiency and sustainability.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, submit reports, and coordinate with Home Office support for standardization and cost control.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in facility maintenance, including exterior services and seasonal upkeep.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with a commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to operate, inspect, and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Skilled in managing budgets, cost control, and procurement of parts, materials, and equipment.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead third-party providers and conduct quality assurance inspections.
