Reports To: Lead Auto Body Technician / Shop Manager

Job Summary:As an Auto Body Helper, you'll work alongside experienced Auto Body Technicians to repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, gaining hands-on training in every stage of the collision repair process. This is an entry-level role for someone who wants to build a real trade skill from the ground up โ€” you'll learn by doing, in a fast-paced shop environment, while helping keep jobs moving efficiently from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in moving vehicles within the facility as needed.
  • Assist technicians with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicles for repair by masking, sanding, and priming as needed.
  • Assist with minor dent removal, panel alignment, and other basic repair tasks under supervision.
  • Assist in applying primers, sealers, and corrosion protection.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet Kniesel's Collision standards.
  • Transport and organize parts, tools, and materials to keep the workspace clean and efficient.
  • Help maintain shop cleanliness, including sweeping, taking out the trash, and organizing tools.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with company policies.

โ€ขย ย  ย Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and leadership.
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to read and understand repair orders, work orders, SOPs, and manufacturer procedures.
โ€ขย ย  ย Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
โ€ขย ย  ย Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
โ€ขย ย  ย Maintains a well-groomed, professional appearance.
