Armed Patrol Officer

Location: Long Beach

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $20-22 an hour Work Schedule: Thurs-Mon 8pm-4am

Job Summary: We are currently seeking a highly trained and experienced Armed Security Guard to join our team and provide protection for our client's gas stations. In this role, you will be responsible for patrolling the premises, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of employees and customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong situational awareness, excellent judgment, and the ability to respond swiftly and effectively to potential security threats.

Responsibilities
  1. Patrol the gas station premises on foot or by vehicle to deter and detect signs of criminal activity, including theft, vandalism, and trespassing.
  2. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond promptly to any security breaches or suspicious behavior.
  3. Engage with customers and employees in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining a vigilant presence to deter potential threats.
  4. Respond quickly and decisively to emergencies, such as robberies, medical incidents, or fires, following established protocols and procedures.
  5. Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as local laws and regulations, to maintain a safe and secure environment for all stakeholders.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation of security incidents, patrols, and activities in daily logs or reports.
  7. Coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as needed to address security concerns or incidents.
  8. Provide assistance and support to employees during cash drops, deliveries, or other high-risk activities, ensuring their safety and security.
  9. Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to security and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  1. Must possess a valid BSIS issued exposed firearms permit and Guard Card.
  2. Must possess a valid Driver's License and provide copy of driving record.
  3. Previous experience in law enforcement, military, or security-related field preferred.
  4. Completion of firearms training and proficiency testing required.
  5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  7. Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities.
  8. Duty belt, Level 3 duty holster, level 3A body armor, Baton permit, OC spray permit, taser.
  9. Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
