1st Shift Folder Gluer Operator / Lead Operator

$28–$40+ per hour | Overtime | Excellent Benefits | Paid Training | Relocation Assistance

A growing folding carton manufacturer is expanding its operations in the area and adding experienced Folder Gluer Operators, Lead Operators, and Supervisor-level talent to its 1st shift team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Folder Gluer Operator—or a strong Assistant Operator ready to move up—to join a progressive, technology-driven company that continues to invest in modern equipment, automation, employee training, and long-term growth.

Why Consider This Opportunity?
  • $28–$40+ per hour, depending on experience
  • Overtime opportunities
  • 1st shift
  • Outstanding company benefits
  • Paid technical training
  • Regular performance and compensation reviews
  • Advancement opportunities for strong performers
  • Opportunities to move into Lead and Supervisor positions
  • Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
  • Modern, progressive folding carton operation
  • Stable company with low employee turnover
  • Strong team-oriented culture
  • Company trains, develops, and promotes from within
The Position

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Folder Gluer Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed folder gluer equipment used in the production of printed folding cartons and paperboard packaging.

You'll work with modern converting equipment producing quality cartons for customers across a variety of markets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and operating high-speed folder gluer equipment
  • Completing machine changeovers and make-readies
  • Setting feeders, belts, rails, folding sections, compression sections, and delivery systems
  • Setting and monitoring glue systems
  • Running a variety of folding carton styles
  • Making adjustments throughout the run to maintain quality and productivity
  • Inspecting cartons for proper folds, glue application, registration, and overall quality
  • Troubleshooting equipment and production issues
  • Monitoring production speeds and minimizing waste and downtime
  • Performing routine preventative maintenance
  • Maintaining an organized and safe work area
  • Working closely with Die Cutting, Printing, Quality, and Production teams
Experience We're Looking For

Candidates should have 1–2+ years of Folder Gluer experience, preferably in a folding carton or paperboard packaging environment, with equipment such as:

Bobst | Heidelberg | Jagenberg | Brausse | Koenig & Bauer | Signature | International PaperBox | Similar Folder Gluer Equipment

Experience producing straight-line, auto-bottom/crash-lock, 4-corner, 6-corner, and other folding carton configurations is especially attractive.

You do not need experience on the company's exact equipment. If you understand folder gluer setups, folding carton construction, glue systems, quality requirements, and machine troubleshooting, the company is willing to train you on its specific equipment.

Ready to Move Up?

Experienced Folder Gluer Assistants are encouraged to apply. If you've been working alongside an experienced operator and are ready to set up and run your own machine, this company offers the paid training and advancement opportunity to help you make that move.

The company is also interested in talking with Lead Folder Gluer Operators, Converting Leads, and experienced Pressroom/Finishing Supervisors who may be ready for their next opportunity.

The company is expanding, and that growth is creating opportunities for people who want more than just another machine operator job. Strong performers can move into Lead, Supervisor, and other production leadership positions as the operation continues to grow.

If you're an experienced folding carton professional looking for better pay, modern technology, excellent benefits, paid training, and a company where you can continue to advance, we'd like to hear from you.
