Job description

Position: Dryer Operator- Flash Style
Pay: $20-$21/hr
Shift: To be discussed
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Dryer Operator- Flash Style to start IMMEDIATELY at $20/hour. Receive comprehensive benefits through ITS upon hire!
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor fluid bed dryer to process moist ferrous sulfate crystals to finished dry specifications (Food Grade primary, Technical Grade as needed)
  • Monitor dryer temperatures, feed rates, and moisture levels; make adjustments to maintain product quality
  • Perform pre-shift equipment checks and document any issues or abnormalities
  • Load dried ferrous sulfate into packaging line according to SOPs and Work Instructions
  • Offload moist ferrous sulfate bulk trucks and transfer product to storage using forklift and/or Bobcat
  • Assist in dumping moist ferrous sulfate bulk bags
  • Track moist and dried ferrous sulfate materials accurately
  • Communicate lot changeovers with Bagger Operator
  • Sample dried ferrous sulfate for QC testing
  • Complete work orders and production records throughout shift
  • Conduct visual and physical quality checks; flag off-spec product
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, perform housekeeping duties
  • Follow all safety protocols, including PPE usage, when handling chemicals
  • Report equipment issues or production concerns promptly

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating industrial drying equipment preferred
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial production, or heavy manufacturing a plus
  • Forklift sit-down experience required
  • Bobcat experience preferred; willingness to learn essential
  • Ability to read and follow Work Instructions and SOPs
  • Mechanically inclined, comfortable monitoring gauges and making basic adjustments
  • Able to work around chemical materials with proper PPE (dust, heat, chemicals)
  • Reliable attendance, consistent output on a 3rd shift schedule
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills
