The Barista is a key team member responsible for creating a welcoming and exceptional guest experience at Conduit Café, Dreamweaver Milk + Boba Bar, and throughout AREA15. This role requires a passion for coffee, boba tea, soft serve ice cream, quick bites, and alcoholic beverage/add-ons. We are seeking individuals who can deliver a WOW experience by crafting artistic, high-quality beverages and food, engaging with visitors, and providing outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Provide excellent guest service at Conduit Café and Dreamweaver Milk & Boba Bar.
  • Engage with visitors to enhance their experience and provide information.
  • Describe product details and educate visitors about specialty product items and offerings.
  • Suggest top products, upsell items like alcohol add-ons, and make product recommendations.
  • Meet Key Performance Indicators and adhere to AREA15's operational guidelines.
  • Efficiently and accurately prepare menu items based on provided recipes and procedures.
  • Handle credit card transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation, following SNHD standards, and remain in compliance with all SNHD regulations.
  • Keep accurate inventory counts and report any irregularities to the management team.
  • Follow instructions, work well in a team, and stay organized to handle multiple tasks.
  • Maintain an upbeat and positive environment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory/supply levels.
  • Complete daily checklists for opening, running, and closing procedures.
  • Prepare backstock items as assigned, ensuring the outlet is fully stocked during operational hours.
  • Ensure equipment is safe, clean, and operational.
  • Promote a cheerful, efficient, and safe work environment.
  • Provide accurate information about venues, menus, and pricing to guests.
  • Maintain a professional appearance adhering to Company standards.
  • Adhere to all AREA15 and Restaurant policies and procedures.

Position Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in boba and/or coffee preparation is preferred.
  • Valid work cards (Health, Alcohol Awareness, Non-Gaming).
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, crowds, and smoke.
  • Comfortable working in an environment with flashing lights.
  • Ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work in a standing position for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repeated reaching and stooping motions.
  • Ability to work in all seasons in an outdoor setting, withstanding temperature variations, heat, and sun exposure.
