Job description

Now Hiring: Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Boatman Industries, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled diesel mechanic with hands-on experience working on high pressure water pump equipment. Responsibilities will include the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on a variety of equipment.

Location: Hobby Airport Area - 7355 Airport Blvd. Houston, TX 77061
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay: Competitive, Based on Experience / We offer Full Benefits Package

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, service, and repair high pressure water pumps, related hydraulic systems and diesel engines
  • Troubleshoot and repair technical problems
  • Interpret parts and service manuals in order to properly diagnose repairs needed as well as order appropriate parts
  • Disassemble and reassemble engines and component parts
  • Maintain safety, quality control, and testing procedures

Requirements:

  • Strong diesel mechanical background with direct experience in high pressure pumps
  • Solid understanding of diesel engines, pressure testing, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate and interface effectively with personnel in and outside the organization
  • Ability to read technical schematics and service manuals
  • Organized, dependable, and safety-minded

All applicants must have minimum of two years relevant experience in equipment maintenance industry, must have own tools, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
