Within Perioperative Services, the Nurse Educator Perioperative Services will support a high-performing surgical platform inside a 337-bed community-based hospital that is part of a larger regional healthcare network, features an academic affiliation, and operates 7 operating rooms, providing a mix of complex cases, interdisciplinary teamwork, and robust collaboration among surgeons, anesthesia, PACU, Pre-Op, and Sterile Processingโ€”an ideal environment to drive OR education, competencies, and quality improvement. Reporting to Surgical/Perioperative leadership with close partnership from the Clinical Education and Quality teams, the Quality Nurse Coordinator Surgical Services will lead onboarding and orientation, design competency pathways, advance regulatory readiness and accreditation standards, champion infection prevention and patient safety initiatives, and foster continuous improvement using data-driven outcomes; surrounded by friendly nurses and a diverse team of healthcare professionals, the Quality Nurse Coordinator Surgical Services will coach preceptors, facilitate simulation and skills labs, support specialty certifications, and build a positive learning culture that empowers perioperative clinicians to thrive.
