Job description

POSITION:
F&B SHIFT LEADER

DEPARTMENT:
BOATHOUSE

REPORTS TO:
FOOD & BEVERAGE MANAGERS
BOATHOUSE GENERAL MANAGER

SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of Boathouse leadership and within policies and procedures in force, ensures that the restaurant and beverage areas are in operational level in regard to company service procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Includes the following, but other duties may be assigned:

• Assists in direction of all aspects of outlets beverage personnel in all capacities thereby ensuring top efficiency and high guest satisfaction.
• Assists in coordination of presentation, and service of food and beverage products to ensure highest quality at all times.
• Assists Boathouse General Manager in training all new and current employees.
• Assists in opening and/or closing of the restaurant in the absence of leadership.
• Maintains a presence on the floor and follow through with opening/closing shift duties, including checking out the team members as they complete their shifts.
• Resolves any complaints, questions or comments from guests.
• Assists leadership on monthly beverage inventory.
• Assists leadership on placing weekly beverage orders.
• Ensures team member paperwork has been completed properly.
• Follow up on any request/message from the previous shift manager.
• Create great teamwork and morale amongst staff.
• Send daily shift reports to the full management team.
• Performs any other duties assigned by Boathouse General Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands, finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or GED Required.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in food and beverage, and/or hospitality related work experience required preferable in a luxury hotel.
