Job description

The Boat House of Door County is looking for an addition to the team to make us shine. This position is integral to the success of our team and our company image. The hired individual will make our boats shimmer and shine. If you think you can make a difference and keep up with our demanding schedule to keep the boats and facility looking sharp, we want to see you.   • Conduct any customer interaction with courtesy and respect.
  • Prepare boats for delivery by thoroughly cleaning the boat both inside and out to include all surfaces. Attention to detail is essential for success in this role as boats have many areas that are not visible on first glance which are part of the expectation for cleanliness.
  • Keep stock boats clean and ready for customer inspection.
  • Assist Service Department in cleaning service boats as requested.
  • Organize the boats on the lot using the forklift and needed vehicles to meet the requests of management.
  • Follow safety rules and regulations.
  • Wear appropriate protective gear.
  • Advise supervisor when a boat requires additional work.
  • Perform role with the mindset to use the necessary supplies for success without overuse or waste.
  • Keep work area neat, clean and organized at all times.
  • Assist in general yard cleanup as directed.
  • Keep equipment/tools in good working order. Notify supervisor when equipment/tools need repair or replacement.
  • Maintain overall appearance of yard (Pick up garbage, put hoses away, etc.). Hoses are to be put away at the end of each work shift.
  • Clean Buildings and Service Trucks as directed.
  • Help in the setup/breakdown of boat shows as directed, to include but not limited to hauling boats, placement at the show, cleaning both the boats and general area during the show for optimal exposure, and returning boats to assigned locations.
  • Attend all assigned meetings.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The compensation for this position is based upon experience.
