Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Boat Shop Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance and preventative maintenance on Academy owned boats, boat hoists, and piers.  This includes but is not limited to: painting boats and piers, repairing masts, repairing hoists, routine mechanical maintenance of boats such as tune-ups, oil changes and propel and shaft replacement.
REQUIREMENTS: The requirements for this position include a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid Indiana driver's license with a good driving record. Applicant must have the physical capability to perform the duties of the position which may include: bending, stooping, lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty pounds, climbing stairs, ladders, and masts, must be able to swim, work in confined spaces and tolerate working in inclement weather. Previous vocational and mechanical training is desired.
