  • The job duties of a Boat Service Advisor revolve around providing boat repair and service.
  • As a Service Advisor, your responsibilities include inspecting a vessel to make suggestions to the owners or operators about necessary repairs and safety upgrades and work with technicians to facilitate these improvements.
  • You will also offer advice about efficiency upgrades and other possible changes that the owners of the craft can make.
  • Preventative maintenance is key, a Marine Service Advisor must believe in this concept and apply it to all vessels to ensure customers fix, repair and maintain their vessels to avoid breakdowns.

Job Duties

  • Providing customers with product information and availability, estimated time of arrival of goods and product recommendations
  • Ensure customer expectations and timeliness of repairs are met by managing parts orders, inventory and technician productivity
