Boat Mates are crew members who assist in the operation and maintenance of a vessel, working under the supervision of the Captain or First Mate. Their duties typically include handling docking lines, maintaining the cleanliness of the boat, assisting with navigation, helping passengers, and ensuring safety procedures are followed. Boat Mates often gain valuable hands-on experience and are essential for the smooth and safe running of both commercial and private vessels. This role can serve as a stepping stone to more advanced maritime positions.

They also help guests with safety equipment, provide support during water activities, and may assist the captain with navigation or lookout duties. Working closely with the captain and other crew members, Boat Mates play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and a positive guest experience throughout the voyage.
